For a long time, Dukascopy was beyond the reach of retail forex traders because of their required minimum deposit of $50,000. But now, the minimum deposit is only $1,000.

Don't be mistaken: This forex broker is still primarily catering to big guys in forex who want to trade in millions of dollars in an absolutely secure one-click trading environment. But Dukascopy now offers the same quality of services to retail forex traders too.

Charting, technical analysis and streaming news are all first-class. Execution of trading orders is incredibly fast, with no slippage. Dukascopy is an ECN broker with lots of liquidity available.

Spreads are as low as you can get on the market. Normally, I see the spread on EUR/USD below 1 pip (slightly lower than at Oanda and much lower than at Saxo Bank). During news releases, the spread is usually 9-10 times lower at Dukascopy than at Oanda.

If you care about execution time, slippage, and spread, I strongly recommend Dukascopy.

Dukascopy stands above all Brokers. I wish to clarify the many questions about whether they will impose the new CFTC rules. The new CFTC Rules. do not apply to banks. Dukascopy is a bank & should be ok until 6/2011. The one thing you should be aware of is that Dukascopy will change it's leverage requirements based upon time of day or day of week and market liquidity. Usually just on Friday a afternoon...

I’ve been trading at them for half year. And since then I had no big problems, all other was fastly resolved by Dukascopy support. Yes, the technology they use is quite difficult, but after few days you can enjoy the data that is available.

Jforex platform is the best. I thought that MT4 is best, but now I changed my mind.

Overall I am enormously happy with Dukascopy. Their account opening process is time-consuming because of some Swiss regulations. But once you get through, you will get astonishingly tight spreads, very fast execution, and outstanding customer support. Dukascopy has the best bid/ask spreads that I have seen. It is also relatively easy to get a segregated account, which protects me against the broker’s bankruptcy. Check out also their jFOREX package for algorithmic trading. It is excellent.
